Best Moulding Corporation was founded in 1947 by Carl H. Rise. Carl bought a burnt moulder and put it back into working condition. Then he leased a one room building and started producing mouldings. His office was no larger than an outhouse and visitors had to stand outside to conduct business.

  
Duke City Lumber Company gave Carl the green edges that they would normally throw away. He then air dried the lumber and shipped his first car of mouldings from that material. In those days all orders were done without Purchase Order numbers, as his word was his reputation. Carl built Best Moulding Corporation into a leader in the moulding industry. It has remained a family business and prides itself on manufacturing quality mouldings.

Carl's sons, Frank Demott, President and Joe Rise, Vice President of Best Moulding Corporation continue to operate with the integrity, quality and service that Carl Rise insisted on.
